Terms of Use & Disclaimer
Last updated 5 June 2026
SRT2GO ("the app") is a free, open-source application that streams live video and audio from your device to an SRT endpoint that you choose. By using the app you agree to these terms. They are written to be read, not to hide behind legalese.
The short version
- The app is free and provided "as is", with no warranty.
- You are responsible for what you stream and where you stream it.
- Follow your local laws and the rules of any service you stream to.
- SRT2GO is just a tool — it doesn't host, store, or moderate your streams.
No warranty
SRT2GO is provided free of charge and "as is," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, reliability, or availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of SRT2GO accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or legal consequence arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.
Your responsibilities
You alone are responsible for:
- the content you capture and stream;
- the services, servers, and endpoints you choose to stream to;
- complying with all laws and regulations applicable to you and to your audience;
- complying with the terms of service, acceptable-use policies, and community standards of any service, platform, or endpoint you connect to.
SRT2GO is a tool only
SRT2GO does not host, store, moderate, or distribute your streams. It simply encodes your camera and microphone and sends them to the SRT endpoint you specify. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the services you connect to or how they handle, display, or retain your stream. Any dispute about a stream is between you and the service you streamed to.
Acceptable use
Do not use SRT2GO for any unlawful purpose, to infringe the rights of others, or in violation of the rules of any service you connect to. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use is lawful where you are and where your stream is received.
Open source
SRT2GO is open-source software and is built on other open-source libraries, each under its own licence. Those licences, and any warranty disclaimers they contain, also apply. See the open source licences.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the updated version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
